"Our customers, such as engineering companies, public authorities and construction companies, who use our own card_1 BIM solution for road planning or rail routing, are already enthusiastically using DESITE share and md pro for BIM coordination and as a BIM viewer. Their experiences have been positive, e.g. in the BIM projects B87n and B178n, used to create the cross-trade overall model with conflict detection and coordination. The DESITE md analysis software can also be easily linked to many other systems," emphasizes Uwe Hüttner, IB&T Managing Director. Dr. Jochen Hanff, Head of Product Strategy and Innovation at thinkproject adds: "We have been working successfully with the experts for traffic routes and infrastructure for two years. We are expanding our competence in this market segment."
DESITE BIM comprises six product variations. This includes tools for project participants with different BIM competencies for seamless collaboration and information exchange in construction projects, thanks to the open and neutral support of many data formats. With these tools, users can integrate various types of information into building models, carry out model and conflict detection and run 4D simulations. You can create schedules, carry out information analysis and determine quantities.
In order to further promote BIM-compliant planning and working with software solutions in civil engineering, IB&T also offers basic training and training as well as consulting and project support for companies, public authorities or training facilities who want support for BIM entry. IB&T Software GmbH presented its new DESITE BIM competence centre in February at the digitalBAU trade fair in Cologne, the 7th Oldenburg BIM Day, and is participating in the DESITE & BIM User Day 2020 in Essen.
